This article examines the regulations that promote non-motorized mobility in Bogotá and Mexico City. It explores the efforts to encourage the use of bicycles as a sustainable alternative to cars, as well as the swift implementation of cycling lanes during the Covid-19 pandemic as a substitute for public transportation. Furthermore, it delves into the renewed interest in supporting dockless micromobility sharing systems. The focus is on subsidies and revisions of regulations as means to ensure the long-lasting impact of micromobility.
